Just returning home after working 25 days at the beautiful Albemarle Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. This busy 11 room inn sits on the hill in the Grove Park Inn district of town. Not too far away from the stately Biltmore Mansion. Since April-May is peek blooming time for the Biltmore gardens, we were quite busy. Still found some time to explore Asheville and many of it's great dining spots. Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and make a stop in at the State Farmers Market. Visit Buck's booth and he will be happy to give you a taste test of no less than 10 different local honey samples. Tupelo, Sourwood, Orange Blossom....he has them all! I also picked up a local favorite called "RAMP". It is collected in the North Carolina mountains. I was told to pan fry them with eggs for breakfast since they are like a mix between a leek and green onions. Terrific! Can't wait to try new recipes.
